I'm Writing, Finally

Thanks to NetFlix, I fell hopelessly in love with the television show, Bones, in January 2011. At Season 6's, I felt compelled to take what God gave me (an insatiable desire to write, an unexpected layoff, and a supportive family) and use it to fill in the gaps that needed filling. If you've read any of my work, you know I love these guys ... and I wanted to be assured that their relationship develop in a healthy, mature, and affectionate way. In my opinion, which is the only one I'm usually interested in, there was no other way to do this except to write it myself. That is what I have done in The When and the How: A Bone to Pick, my first, and ongoing, fic.

As Season 7 began, Hart Hanson and Nathan (SquareChicken) had too much to cover and not nearly enough time to do it in each episode. Again I have felt compelled to fill in the gaps. Hence was born The Meaning in the Episode, a series of companion pieces to each Season 7 episode. More recently, I wrote I Decide about Booth and his dad. That was inspired by one of the above fics and the Season 7, Episode 4 where Booth learns of his father's death.

Other than updating those two on-going pieces, primarily TWATH:ABTP, I've also recently written a humor piece with these same characters in which Booth & Hodgins, the alpha males, are hoodwinked into accompanying Temperance Brennan, Angela, & Camille on an excursion intended predominantly for mature women, namely, The Vagina Monologues. With their masculinity and some other desirables on the line, the men are determined to persevere. This story line had been swimming around my gray matter for quite some time - finally finding release during a Secret Santa Fiction trade. If you love to laugh, and whether or not you have a vagina, you may enjoy this piece.

You, Dear Reader, have become the happy, if not enthusiastic, recipient of my work. Please be kind to it ... share it with your friends ... challenge it to grow and improve by providing feedback. Your every click on the title or chapters of my story, your every comment, your every peek at my profile, encourages me to live my dream of being read all over the world, which is what happens when you publish here! Thank you for giving me that encouragement! BESOS Y ABRAZOS, QUERIDOS!

Who am I? Wife to a lovely hunk of manhood, mother to 9 yr old twins, Carolina and Zakari. They are, of course, brilliant & gorgeous (No, really!) We live in MN where we have four absolutely beautiful seasons every year, and my street is lined with mature birch and oak trees, my house is made of red brick.

At 45, I'm doing what I've always dreamed of doing, but have never had the confidence to attempt - writing fiction. I believe this is what I was created for this world to do ... time will tell if I fulfill God's plan for me through my writing. *I consider myself a devout, yet shockingly liberal Catholic who is not afraid to use profanity when the opportunity presents itself and no other word will do it justice.*I am fascinated with people, their motivations, and their behaviors. * I am in love with the Booth-Bones chemistry - that is what COMPELLED me to start writing. What you will read here are the rough drafts of The When and the How: A Bone to Pick, and my newest endeavor, The Meaning in the Episode. If these WERE real, published novels, they would go through several rounds of editing and become tighter - more professional - with fewer trips around the bend. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I am enjoying writing it!
